Figured i'd post some more in the forum here to see if we can get some talkin.. what got you into GMRS?
For me, it was something I had been interested in for a bit.. decided to grab a cpl radios and see what it was about.
I started with cb but it wasn't working so I found gmrs and started with bear Creek repeater with a yagi 5. Element antenna since then I went to a comet and a tower been having a lot of fun with different repeaters
Trained as CERT in Jacksonville Florida. Work outdoors in California where wildfires are a thing. Wanted emergency comm capabilities. GMRS & Repeaters are a good solution.
I used Cb radio for many years wanted something different one of my friends is a ham operator told me about gmrs having fun but now studying for technician license.
